Cigars, Websites and Coffee

Let me first start off by saying that I used to work at a web design firm so I am no dummy when it comes to creating websites ( I am not a expert and I know enough to get myself in trouble). However I have avoided flash over the years because I always felt it was to cumbersome and not user friendly. Who wants to click on the page to activate it then go and be able to click the intended target seems a little counter productive to me. Anyway me and Paul have been working on a site for a upcoming project that is in flash and we did the whole dam thing but after viewing it we decided what a pain in the ass to update it. So we decided to just make a flash intro/ main index nav page. We think it looks great and can't wait to debut it to everyone, however the product is not done so everyone has to wait.

I bet we smoked 5 cigars each yesterday while working on this thing, I started with a Anejo Shark but ended up letting it go out because it just did not stay lit and burned so bad. I had the thing at 65% humidity and left it on my desk for like an hour before even sparking it so maybe just a bad one. I finished the day with a Cabaiguan WCD, dam I wish I had bought like 50 boxes of these things (Nice smoke John). We drank some coffee and smoked some cigars and did web design all day yesterday, Paul had to do some programming on www.silocigars.com due to the USPS and UPS changing server call routines. All in all it was a good day at Silo the only thing we miss are daily shipments of Illusiones and Tatuajes lol. sorry for spelling errors or bad sentence structure I am just typing.

Sleet and Icy Roads, Good news is the Illusione MK Ultra

Ok let me start off by saying DAM. Our local weather guys couldn't predict rain if they were standing in a hurricane. So I get up early this morning to go in and ship out the orders from last night and you would not believe the roads here. Now let me start by saying the streets looked like the I am Legend movie. Freaking wrecked cars just left on the side of bridges and streets, it was so odd to see so many of them. So it took me about an hour to get but my business partner Paul lives about 5 miles from here but the roads were so bad it took him 3 hours. I drove I-40 and by the time I got to the exit the streets were clear and it was smooth sailing the rest of the way. Now for the good part.

On my last Illusione order Dion sent me a bundle of the new MK Ultra cigars to try and dam let me tell you these are a must have. I really like the regular cg4 blend and size but after getting in the store I poured a cup of personal roast coffee and fired up the Illusione MK Ultra. I could not put it down or stop smoking it. I am on my second cigar in less than 2 hours (yes they are that good), I hope this becomes a regular type release. If you have not tried a Illusione cigar you owe it to yourself to pick up a single.

Sorry for typos and spelling errors but I consider this a free form flowing blog and just type what I am thinking.

Tatuaje Maravilla and Coffee

While sitting and smoking a Tatuaje Maravilla cigar from 2006 and drinking some fine locally roasted small batch coffee, Paul and I had a great idea!!! How cool would it be to take some of our favorite cigars and match them up with some killer locally roasted small batch coffee. Trying to determine the flavor profiles of coffee along with cigars and how they interact with the acidity and earth tones was very challenging and rewarding.

We went from one blend of coffee to the next all the while trying different cigars, but we always went back to a certain cigar and coffee roast. This is where it gets touchy, I could tell you what we have planned but then I would have to kill you (lol j/k). Our next project is going to set the coffee and cigar market a blaze :).
