New Arrivals and Such

Today I got the web orders finished early so I decided to sit down and smoke some new stuff that just came in. First off I haven't told anyone yet except Andre (owner of Viaje) but the cigars on the site for the Oro are actually the new blend and rolled in the same factory as the Platino. By the way the new Oro blend is spectacular in my opinion.

Anyway I smoked a ton of cigars today, I started with the Pinar del Rio Clasico Double Corona then went straight to the new Pinar del Rio Sungrown Lancero. Let me tell you the Pinar del Rio Sungrown smokes are quickly becoming one of my go to cigars on a daily basis. I also smoked a Rocky Patel Decade Lonsdale which I believe is the best cigar he makes. So to finish my day I fired up the new Vengeance Cigars which is from the guys at Kristoff. The Vengeance is now brand new, new blend and packaging. Very good and a full body smoke.

After finishing the cigars I decided to actually get up off my arse and get some work done. So I scooped up a bunch of stuff to add to our website which is not currently displayed. Everything from swag to smokes will be on there soon so just hold on.

Did I mention that we have Devil's Weed bundles at like stupid low prices? hell I think they start at like $2.35 a cigar and go up to $3.00 when you buy the bundle. Ok well that is enough blogging for me tonight I just wanted to touch base and let everyone know what is going on with us.

Oh and Happy New Year!!!!

Ahhh Christmas Time

I love this time of year! the lights, trees, food, friends and family. I am not going to get on a rant about the Holidays or lack thereof. I would like to just say that Silo Cigars has been blessed with some of the greatest customers in the world. From the deployed Military guys to the locals that stop in every day or so, you guys make this all worth it.

Starting a cigar business in this economic climate and with looming tax legislation (schip) was a risk but with the support of our customers we have been successful. I have always felt that the business should be catered around what the customers want and we listen. The main topics were lower prices, better boutique cigar brands, lifetime warranty cigar accessories, great coffee and a inviting place to sit and smoke. I believe we have done just that and we are always open to suggestions so if you have 1 or 5 let us know lol. Now back to the Christmas Time

The weather is turning colder and it is starting to feel like Christmas time. (hell Vegas got almost 4" of snow, can we get just a little?) At the store we say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays, why? well because we can!! and it is Christmas. We do not feed in to the whole PC vibe that most major stores do and we will always be ourselves. I hope I see the majority of our friends before Christmas but if not, please have a great and safe Christmas!!! I will be enjoying the time with my family in Cookeville on Christmas morning having our traditional family Christmas breakfast!! followed with a awesome cigar with the men folk.

(sorry for any typos, bad grammar or anything else but i really don't check those things lol)

Merry Christmas and be safe.

Holidays and Cigars

Well Thanksgiving is almost on us (already!) but before you start deep frying/smoking or baking the ole birds take a little time to be with those you love.

I recently re-stocked my rum and beer selection from some buddys on the boards and a pal from the local B&M. I love sitting down and sipping some Zaya or Zacapa 23 while enjoying a great cigar. Lately the cigar smoking world has been blessed with so many great cigars, I mean every manufacturer has stepped up their game. My latest favorite is the Casa Magna, the robusto scored a 92 in Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Insider but my favorite is the corona size. Bold flavor and very complex with all kinds of unique flavor combinations that build up as you smoke it. Also a go to for me is the J. Fuego Delirium, man I love this chocolate bar of a smoke. The robusto and belicoso are to me the perfect smoke in the morning with a cup of coffee, the flavors and spice really get me going.

If you are by the store on Saturday November 22nd stop in and take advantage of the J. Fuego Tasting Event. The event starts at 11:00 and goes through 5:00 and let me tell you we have pimped out the special pricing.

Buy any 3 J. Fuego cigars and get 1 free.
Buy any 5 J. Fuego cigars and get 2 free.
Buy any Box of J. Fuego cigars and get 8 cigars free plus 20% off on the box purchase.

On another note we should be receiving a large shipment of Humidors next week, so if you need another or are thinking of a gift please stop by and see the selection and I bet you will not find a better price in town.

This special includes all the J. Fuego brands so take some time to stop by so we can wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and Thank you for your continued support!!
